Am watching the ICC 2011 World Cup Final right now on TV. The streets are empty. People are all in front of their TVs watching the match closely. SriLanka has just got 274 runs after struggling for a while. In another few minutes, God will walk in to take on SriLanka along with the Demolition Man. Hoping that they will keep on going and we walk away with the WorldCup.

I came across this interesting Gandhian Campaign now underway in Kerala for Protection during Harthal Days.

Am reproducing the campaign mailer below.

The campaign requests those who abhor the violence unleashed in the name of Hartal to send a post card to the Chief Justice of Kerala High Court on October 2nd.

The content of the message translated from Malayalam is "Respected Sir, I disagree with the concept of Hartal, a protest form which causes hardships to the general public. May I request you to kindly ensure the right of those who disagree with this protest method to travel without fear and the safety of the Public Property during Hartals.
